Entech Positioned for Growth with New Ownership and Expanded Management
Entech Fabrications is a leader in the design and fabrication of rinsing and cleaning systems for the food, beverage, nutrition and pharmaceutical industries, including the Gatling Gun® patented container rotary feed system.
In the spirit of continuing our rich history of industry leadership and innovation, Entech is pleased to announce the transfer of ownership from Entech’s original founders Dale Chapman and Harry Workman to Patrick and Kate Mitten. New owners Pat and Kate Mitten will retain the existing Entech brand, product offerings and team members, including Chapman and Workman, the inventors of the Entech Gatling Gun.
Pat Mitten serves as Entech’s president and is responsible for new product innovation, growth strategies and customer development. He brings a successful portfolio of experience in marketing, business development, research, brand management, supply chain management and package engineering at Kraft Foods Group, PepsiCo, Quaker Oats Company and Griffith Laboratories, among others. He received his MBA in marketing and finance from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and an undergraduate degree in package engineering from Michigan State University.
Kate Mitten has enjoyed a career as an educator specializing in children with hearing and learning disabilities. She has served in a variety of civic and community leadership roles. She provides a keen eye on clean foods and industry standards and stresses the importance of purity and product cleanliness.
Our customers have come to know and appreciate the expertise, reliability and dedication of the Entech team, including Entech’s founders, Chapman and Workman. Chapman and Workman are experienced machinists who bring over 90 years of combined experience and expertise. Workman is the installation and sales engineer, and continues to lead Entech’s assembly, installation and service initiatives. Chapman, our shop leader, heads up design and assembly. Bonnie Mason, office manager, manages the front office and customer service.
“I feel fortunate to lead a truly innovative company that has the solid industry reputation that Entech has while working alongside its original founders,” says Pat Mitten. “Dale and Harry bring so much knowledge and are highly regarded in this industry. Working with them and the rest of our staff in developing new products and technologies will give Entech and our customers a tremendous advantage.”
Under Pat Mitten’s leadership, Entech is accelerating innovation and productivity by developing soon to be released semi- and fully-automatic changeover technologies along with next generation air filtering, monitoring and alarm systems. With new ownership, expanded management and a recently announced increased production capacity, Entech continues to improve productivity and purity while meeting customer needs.

Entech Expands Production to Meet Increasing Demand
Entech Fabrications is now partnering with two external manufacturing and assembly organizations in order to accommodate increasing customer demand, create more capacity and shorten lead times.
Entech’s longtime partner Sentry Equipment will manufacture and assemble Entech equipment orders originating from their facility. Sentry is an employee-owned, quality-driven fabrication operation located in Virginia. For all other customer orders, Entech Fabrications and Ace Metal Crafts will fabricate and assemble Entech’s can rinsing solutions out of their Posen and Chicago plants, respectively.
“We instituted these changes in response to customer requests for more flexibility and shorter lead times,” says Patrick Mitten, president, Entech Fabrications. “The expanded capacity ensures we deliver innovation to our customers within their specific timetables. Also, given that some of our integrators compete with Sentry, we want to assure our customers that Entech and Ace will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of these orders.”
Regardless of the manufacturing location, Entech machinery will reflect the same Entech brand name, patented innovation, and exceptional quality and craftsmanship that Entech customers have come to expect. The original founder of Entech, Dale Chapman, continues to lead manufacturing and assembly at Entech. Harry Workman, the other original founder, heads up installation and service.
These production capability upgrades will lead to imminent new product introductions and the addition of sales resources in early 2019. “We hope these changes are viewed as very positive by all,” says Mitten. “They reflect Entech’s strong commitment to growing capacity and listening to our customers.”
Mitten welcomes your feedback and questions. He can be reached by cell phone at 847.809.2999.
