An Entech can twist is a set of stainless steel guide bars that turns, inverts or moves cans between conveyors on a can line without jams or misalignment. Entech custom-builds each twist to your can size, line layout and rotation, in stainless steel with hard-chromed bars, made in the USA. Twists run on Entech rinsers and inverters and as stand-alone transitions on lines up to 2,000 cans per minute.
What does a can twist do?
A can twist guides cans shoulder to shoulder through a turn, a drop or an inversion between two points on your line. Empty-can twists turn cans upside down for rinsing and back upright for the filler. Full-can twists invert cans after the seamer, warmer, pasteurizer or code dater. A twist that is built to the exact can and layout keeps cans from tipping, jamming or getting dented in the transition.

No two can lines are the same, so Entech designs every twist in 3D CAD around your floor space, conveyor heights, can sizes and flow. Our technicians then fit it on site. We build twists for new lines and as retrofits and replacements on existing ones.

How fast is a can size changeover?
On an Entech Gatling Gun® rinser or inverter, the twists for each can size stay mounted on a rotating turret. An operator unlocks it, rotates to the next size and locks it, with no tools and no loose parts. On Quick Change™ equipment, operators unlatch one twist and latch in the next. Twist changeovers take under 1 minute on a Gatling Gun® inverter and under 4 minutes on a Gatling Gun® rinser.
Twist inspection and service
Twists wear over time, and a worn twist is a common cause of jams and dented cans. Every Entech twist is covered by the Rinser & Twist Inspection Program, an annual onsite inspection by factory-trained technicians that catches wear before it becomes downtime.
